IV therapy from the only Cottonwood clinic co-led by two Verde Valley ER veterans.
In-clinic and mobile IV nutritional therapy in Cottonwood, AZ. Fourteen house-formulated drips plus monthly subscription packages. Co-led by a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse with 20+ combined years of trauma ER experience.
IV nutritional therapy is provided as wellness support. Statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. IV therapy is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Individual results vary.
The deepest emergency medicine bench in the Verde Valley.
Most IV bars are run by a single nurse or aesthetician. Alpha Infusions is co-led by a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse, both with a decade or more in the trauma ER. That depth shows up in every visit, from the IV start to the recommendation for the right drip.
Jim May, FNP-C
Born and raised in the Verde Valley. Mingus High School graduate. Ten years as a trauma ER nurse at Verde Valley Medical Center and Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
Jim trained and specialized in ultrasound-guided IV insertion during his ER career, the technique used when standard veins are difficult to find. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Purdue University in 2021, completing the program while working full-time during the COVID pandemic. Jim lives in Cottonwood.
Gina Selting, RN
Started in 2007 as a med/surg oncology nurse. Ten years in emergency medicine and trauma. Traveling COVID nurse on the front lines in 2020. Lives in Camp Verde with her husband and two children.
Gina runs the IV therapy side of Alpha Infusions. Her oncology background gave her an early foundation in nutritional support and the precise care patients need when their bodies are under stress. Her trauma ER years built the IV technique. Her COVID-era travel nursing taught her preventive and holistic approaches she now brings to every drip. Outside the clinic she camps, hunts with her husband, and is on the sidelines of her kids' football and baseball games.

Three reasons people drive past two clinics to come here.
Cottonwood has more IV providers than it had two years ago. Here is why clients choose Alpha Infusions specifically.
The hardest stick is easy here
Ten years of trauma ER work plus ultrasound-guided IV insertion training means clients with difficult veins (chronic dehydration, scar tissue, frequent draws) get the gentlest experience available locally.
Fourteen drips, not three
Most local IV bars run a Myers, a hangover blend, and an immunity option. Our fourteen house-formulated drips plus an extensive add-in menu mean the protocol fits the person, not the other way around.
Nurse Practitioner on every visit
You are seen by a Family Nurse Practitioner, not an aesthetician or a medical assistant. That means real clinical screening, real oversight, and real conversation about what you actually need.
What happens when you come in
Brief Intake
Five minutes covering your goals, recent health, hydration, and any medications. We confirm fit before any drip is started.
Choose or Customize
Pick from the menu or build your own with the add-in list. Jim or our infusion nurse will recommend a fit if you are unsure.
The Drip
Recline in a comfortable chair. The IV start is gentle. Most drips run 30 to 60 minutes. Bring a book or a podcast.
Out the Door
You leave hydrated and supplied. Most clients return to normal activity right away. Aftercare is simple, mostly more water.
IV therapy vs. drinking more water: the real comparison
A fair question, and one we get often. Drinking water is foundational. IV therapy is a different tool for a different job. Here is the side-by-side.
Clients drive in from across the Verde Valley
Our Cottonwood clinic at 699 N 10th St is a short drive for most of the Verde Valley and parts of the Prescott Tri-Cities. Mobile IV is also available within our service area.
Cottonwood
Our home clinic. Walk-in friendly with appointment. Most clients book the same week.
Sedona
A common visit after a long red rock hike or a wedding weekend. Mobile IV available to most lodging.
Clarkdale
Easy drive over the bridge. Many of our regulars live here.
Camp Verde
A short drive south on I-17. We see many Camp Verde clients on weekend mornings.
Cornville & Page Springs
Common stop after a wine tasting weekend in the canyon. The Verde Liver was almost named after this.
Jerome
The mountain drive home is easier hydrated. Same-day appointments for Jerome residents are usually available.
Prescott Valley & Prescott
A bigger drive, but worth it for clients who want a Family Nurse Practitioner on every visit. Expansion plans for the area are in motion.
Rimrock & Lake Montezuma
Easy access down 17. Mobile service available within range.
We can come to you, in select cases.
Mobile IV is available within our service area for clients who prefer the comfort of home, hotel, or workplace. Mobile pricing reflects travel and setup time, and is reviewed at booking.
When mobile makes sense
- Recovery from illness when leaving the house is hard
- Group bookings (bachelorette parties, wedding weekends, retreats)
- Hotel guests in Sedona or Cottonwood needing rapid recovery
- Busy executives who cannot leave the office
- Clients with mobility constraints
When the clinic is the better choice
- First-time clients who want a full intake
- Higher-tier drips (Titan, Alpha Max, Super C Boosted)
- Anyone needing certain prescription add-ins
- Same-day or last-minute booking (clinic has more flexibility)
IV therapy in Cottonwood, answered
How long does an IV therapy session take?
Most drips at Alpha Infusions take 30 to 60 minutes from start to finish. Higher-volume formulations like the Titan or NAD+ infusions can run longer. Plan for an hour the first visit; subsequent visits are typically faster.
Is IV therapy safe?
IV nutritional therapy administered by a qualified clinician using sterile technique and pharmacy-grade ingredients is generally well tolerated. The most common side effects are mild bruising or soreness at the IV site. A brief intake at every visit screens for conditions or medications that would change the recommendation.
How often should I get IV therapy?
It depends on the goal. Clients pursuing immune support during cold and flu season often come every 2 to 4 weeks. Athletic recovery clients may come weekly during heavy training. Hangover or migraine clients come as needed. Wellness maintenance is typically monthly. Jim or your infusion nurse will recommend a cadence at your first visit.
Does insurance cover IV nutritional therapy?
In almost all cases, no. IV vitamin and nutritional therapy is considered elective wellness care, not a covered medical treatment. Many clients use HSA or FSA funds where eligible. We can also discuss CareCredit options at your visit.
Do you offer same-day IV therapy?
Often yes, especially Tuesday through Friday. Call 1-888-552-7773 in the morning and we can usually fit you in the same day. Saturday morning slots fill the fastest.
Can I get an IV at home in Cottonwood or Sedona?
Yes. Mobile IV service is available within our Verde Valley service area, including Cottonwood, Sedona, Clarkdale, Camp Verde, Cornville, Jerome, and surrounding communities. Mobile pricing reflects travel and setup time, and is confirmed at booking.
I have difficult veins. Will this work for me?
Probably better than anywhere else locally. Jim May, FNP-C trained and specialized in ultrasound-guided IV insertion during his decade as a trauma ER nurse. Clients with chronic dehydration, scar tissue, or frequent IV history routinely tell us this was the easiest stick they have had.
What is the difference between an IV and a vitamin shot?
An IV delivers fluids and nutrients into a vein over 30 to 60 minutes, allowing higher doses and full absorption. A vitamin shot (intramuscular injection) is faster, around 1 to 2 minutes, but limited in volume and dose. Many clients use a B12 shot between IV visits, or combine the two.
Can I add NAD+, glutathione, or other nutrients to my drip?
Yes. We have an extensive add-in menu including NAD+, glutathione, taurine, magnesium, biotin, B12, alpha lipoic acid, amino acid blends, vitamin C, and prescription anti-nausea or anti-inflammatory options. Add-ins can be combined with any base drip.
Do you offer monthly IV therapy subscriptions?
Yes. Three subscription tiers are available: Bronze (one custom-built drip per month with three add-ins of your choice), Silver (two infusions per month from our most-requested wellness drips), and Gold (two premium infusions per month). Subscriptions lock in better pricing, include priority booking, and unused infusions roll into the following month. Cancel anytime.
Do you also offer ketamine, weight loss, or PRP?
Yes. In addition to IV therapy, Alpha Infusions offers ketamine infusion therapy, GLP-1 weight loss support (semaglutide and tirzepatide), PRP regenerative wellness, and ozone therapy. Ask about combining services at your visit.
